Obudu Cattle Ranch.

It was my most exiting trip! as i planned for the journey i was expecting the best trip ever. I was amazed at the time we left the Calabar International Airport to Obudu town, it was six hours full of excitements as we saw and mingled with lots of locals from nearby towns.

We could not climb up the Ranch the night we arrived Obudu town because it was late at night so we decided to sleep in a hotel at Obudu town. The locals where very kind and happy people. The driver who took us from Ikom to Obudu town was exceptionally nice and he took us out to see the town and mingle with the locals. It was really exciting.

We set off for the trip to the top of the ranch at about 8am the following morning. Obudu Cattle Ranch is close to the Cameroon border in the north eastern part of Cross River State of Nigeria. Its approximately 110Km east of the town of Ogoja and 65Km from the town of Obudu.

Situated on a relatively flat plateau on the Oshie ridge of the Sankwala Mountains, Obudu Cattle Ranch 135 square kilometers in extent. Its at an elevation of around 5,200 feet (1,576 meters) above see level, and enjoys a cool temperature climate resulting in a landscape of rolling grassland and mountain forests. its an area of idyllic tranquility, beautiful scenery and breathtaking views.
